Terms and conditions
For ORGANIZERS of clinics:
Planning and payment conditions
Dates for clinics are determined in mutual consent. One month before the clinic an invoice will be sent for 50% of the clinic fee. This deposit is non-refundable unless Lucie Klaassen should for any reason need to cancel the clinic at which point this contract is null and void and the deposit shall be refunded. The remainder of the clinic fee needs to be paid to Lucie Klaassen at the clinic.
The organizer agrees to indemnify Lucie Klaassen and hold her harmless from and against all claims, damages, losses, and expenses arising from or in connection with any of the services to be performed hereunder and will have each clinic participant sign appropriate release forms and/or point out the terms and conditions stated below.
For PARTICIPANTS of clinics:
You will receive confirmation and payment details of your registration by the organizer. Your registration is final upon payment of 50% deposit of the clinic fee (non refundable). The remainder of the fee should be paid latest 1 week before the clinic. When you do not meet the payment conditions, the organizer has the right to give your place to someone else. This does not cancel your obligation to pay the clinic fee.
When a participant has to cancel their participation up to 1 week before the clinic, no refund will be paid of the 50% deposit. If the full amount has already been paid, then 50% will be refunded. If participation is canceled within 1 week of the clinic, 100% of the clinic fee has to be paid. We recommend participants to carry cancellation insurance to cover these unforeseen events.
Each participant is at all times responsible for his/her own safety and that of their horse. At each time the participant should take responsibility for his own learning and his own actions, and agrees to take responsibility for any damage/injuries that may occur during the clinic. The owner of the horse is at all times responsible for any damage or harm caused by the horse to others or to the clinic venue during the clinic. The owner is obligated to carry insurance to cover such incidents. The participant of the clinic is at all times responsible for their own tack and other properties, the organizer does not take any responsibility for goods that get missing or damaged.
Wearing a safety helmet during riding lessons is obligated at all times.
Health of the horse
The horse should be vaccinated according to the health requirements of the country in which the clinic is held, and this needs to be shown with the proper documents. When a horse is unfit to participate in the clinic, or when a horse owner or rider neglects the horse welfare, the organizer and Lucie Klaassen have the right to refuse the horse in the clinic. There will be no refund. It is the owners responsibility to bring a healthy horse to the clinic.
Stallions are welcome in the clinics, if the organizer is able to provide proper stabling and the participant can safely handle the horse. When you want to attend the clinic with a stallion, make sure to contact the organizer in time!
Each participant, upon signing up for the clinic, agrees to indemnify Lucie Klaassen and hold her harmless from and against all claims, damages, losses, and expenses arising from or in connection with any of the services to be performed in the clinics.
